led the Brazil Telecom Ironman Brazil race for 219km. Despite his lonely day, Bell got more company than he wanted with 7km to run when he was caught by Oscar Galendez. The two battled over the closing kilometers with Galendez defending his home race course (he lives in Brazil) by 29 seconds. Bell’s finish time of 8:15:47 was his fastest Ironman ever.
