Annabel Luxford

Annabel is here. Actually she has been here for a long time. Her first triathlon was at age 9, winning the race on her purple bike with multi-colored streamers. She was hooked. Having been identified early and geared toward making the Australian Junior Team for the first ever ITU world Championships in Montreal she knew she found her sport. Even with a University schedule that included cross country running obligations, Bella still found time to train and race each summer and capturing the hearts of many as she raced with determination. Bella was embraced by the Australian Sport Institute at the age of 22 to compete on the ITU circuit. That same year she won the U23 Elite World Championships. From there she continued to race ITU events and represent Australia on numerous National Teams. After a storied career early on in both cross country and ITU draft legal racing she is ready to go long. So far it’s paid off. With late season wins in 2012 at the Canberra 70.3 followed up with at win at the Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Championships in early 2013 Bella is ready to set her sights on Vegas 70.3 World Championships.
